The AQM-101 is designed to measure HCHO concentration,
air temperature and relative humidity with visible and audible
alarms. This HCHO monitor is an ideal instrument for indoor
air quality (IAQ) diagnosis and HVAC system performance
verification.
FORMALDEHYDE (HCHO) is a gaseous component of the
earth’s atmosphere. The concentration of HCHO in natural
ambient air is about 0.03 ppm. Formaldehyde is found in a
number of products. While most of these products contain a
relatively low amount of the compound, others have a fairly
strong concentration of formaldehyde. This is particularly
true with products used in the course of scientific research
and other professions where tissue is preserved in some
manner. Formaldehyde exposure can lead to side effects
that range from mild to life-threatening.
